About the Founder
I began my career with now-Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) as the Deputy Finance Director on his first congressional campaign.
Following one of the most competitive Primary and General elections in that cycle, Congressman Van Hollen asked me to join him on Capitol Hill as his scheduler, and then again as the Director of his office at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) while he was serving as its Chair from 2006-2010.
While there, I also developed a nationwide training program for every campaign position and traveled the country in search of top-tier staff to work on our most competitive races.
After the 2010 election cycle, I joined a newly launched national non-profit, OurTime.org, where we used an exemplary digital effort, online influencers, elected officials and A-list celebrities to register hundreds of thousands of young Americans to vote.
In 2015 we launched a spin-off effort, ATTN: and I took over as President and then Board Chair of the non-profit, continuing our nationwide leading efforts to get the next generation to continue learning about civic participation and registering and turning out to vote.
In 2016, I joined now- Senator Van Hollen as a senior advisor on his successful 2016 campaign for the U.S. Senate. I then ran Andrew Friedson’s 2018 also successful campaign for County Council in Maryland, winning a competitive 8-way primary and raising the most money of all candidates including the 40-plus running countywide.
And most recently, I worked for the Maryland Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign as the Distributed Advocacy and Outreach Director, a role designed to engage nationwide issue advocacy groups to join our efforts to win all statewide elections.
We exceeded our expectations, winning the governor’s race by over 30% and all state-wide races by huge margins and engaging numerous issue advocacy organizations in our efforts.
I’m originally from New York and came to the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area to attend the University of Maryland (GO TERPS!) for my bachelor’s degree, and then completed my executive MBA at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University (Hoya Saxa!).
In my spare time I’m most often found playing with my two pups, Teddi and Spencer, playing sports, attending sporting events, and live in Bethesda, MD with my partner.
